Return to: Losing LoveLosing Us I wanted to talk. Was quiet you were. Your world is already planned without me. I fear this dry and barren settlement; this bearing pain of unavoidable choices I wanted to talk; tell you of dreams past, and those yet unformed. Was quiet you were. I wanted to listen to your touching as my thoughts bedded into the bowl of your hands. I wanted the knowing of your ears and your lips reaching for soft words. Was quiet you were. I wanted to talk. Unprepared , my heart swallowed stillness. Even as I pulled ears closer to listen, and lips closer to taste salty truth in your unspoken words, was quiet you were.
